Indianapolis Home Sales dip 6.7%

As reported by the Indianapolis Star, Thurs, Aug 30, 2007: July home listings in Central Indiana increased slightly, while total sales slowed and prices fell from last year, the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors said in a statement Wednesday. New LIstings were up .7 percent for Julyy from the same month last year. The number of home sales during July declined 6.7% percent, to 2,765, from the same month in 2006. Year-to-date home sales dropped 7.1 percent from last year and 3.6% from the same period two years ago. In July, the average sales price was $163,612, a 3% decrease from July 2006 and a 1 % increase from July 2005.
