Indianas Property Tax Bill
UUUGGGHHHHHH!!!
The Indiana Property Tax bill that was suppose to get its final approval this month has been delayed until Nov 2010. Gov Mitch Daniels said Thursday that supporters likely will have to wait until next year for the legislature to vote on amending Indiana's property tax caps into the state consistution.
House Minority Leader, Brian Bosma - R, said he is still exporing ways a vote could be held in the next few remaining days of this legislative session, which ends Apr 29th, but said it would take "extraordinary" means to accomplish that.
The property tax caps would cap property taxes to 1% of a home's assessed valuation, with rental property capped at 2% and businesses at 3%.
