Little Known Secret, Noblesville - Indiana, is getting out!
When SMC Corp moves to Noblesville, builds their new facility and creates 275 new jobs starting in 2009, our city will be known around the world. Noblesville is one of those best-kept secrets that people share with each other by word of mouth (as stated in the Noblesville ledger).
The quaint shops downtown, the farmers market, the Summer Street Dance, the well-kept Old Town residences, the old Sheriffs Residence, the good schools, the large, newer homes, Morse Lake and the White River.
There is so much more; however, there was a new development last week that is putting Noblesville, "On the map". When Japanese-owned SMC Corp opens its new, expanded North American headquarters in Noblesville two years from now, the citys employment base will increase substanially - especially in manufacturing jobs.
SMC, with 12,000 worldwide employees and customers in 49 countries, is a big deal in Indiana, especially a big deal in Noblesville. It now means that people from around the world will hear about and know about Noblesville, a city that used to be our secret but is no longer just that.
