It's Monday Morning after a long 5 days at Disney...I arrived back in Indianapolis yesterday afternoon, just in time to go 'Trick or Treating'.   Now its Monday morning and I am exhausted as most people are this morning.  Here is the good news.

The best thing in life is that we all get to decide how we want our day to be.  We can have a horrible day, a terrific day or just an average ordinary day.  No one can make this decision for you, it is 100% up to you!  Isn't that great news!  Then why do so many of us have bad days??

We all need to be reminded daily, perhaps hourly, that our life is decided by not WHAT happens to us, but HOW we react and our thought process as the day happens.  You get cut you off on the highway, you got the wrong order during lunch at the drive thru, you dumped coffee on your business clothes this morning.  Remember, you control how you react these decisions and noone else.  How you react will determine how your day is, not the fact these things happen to you.

You deserve to have a GREAT day, everyday.   Don't just respect yourself, but respect others as well. The greatest thing you have is your self image, a positive opinion of yourself. You must never let anyone take it from you.  You will notice that people will try and take away your confidence and positive opinion of yourself all the time, but you have the power to resist them and create a destiny of your choosing.  Remember, the choice is yours and noone else.

I tell my children almost daily, that in any situation you can be the victor instead of the victim.  Do not play the role of the victim and blame others, take responsibility, you control your destiny, noone else.  Count on the fact that the ability to influence events in your life comes from within you—not from external forces beyond your control!

Whatever challenges are thrown at you today, and there will be.. count on it, pay close attention to your reaction.  Force yourself to stay positive and you will make this the best Monday ever, because you decided when you woke up that it was going to be.

Happy Monday!
