Indianapolis Real Estate Market is HOT... Here are my thoughts!

The real estate market has been extremely hot the first 60 days or so of 2010.. thanks to the low rates and tax credits.. which are both about to end.

Homeowners waiting to sell to get a higher price later, may need to reconsider. Now is probably the highest price you will see in a couple years. It is expected that more foreclosures will be coming to the market soon which will continue to drive prices down.. some banks have been holding off putting their inventory on the market (for several reasons), but 2010 is being called the year of 'liquidation' by the banks and we are anticipating a flood of REO properties during the next 12 to 18 months.

With the increased inventory of bank owned homes, comes lower prices, thus putting more pressure on prices. Have a bank owned home in your neighborhood already.. how would you like to have a few more and have those prices as comparables to your home? Well, the longer you wait, the more likely you will see more foreclosures in your community.

Mibor Bowling League Heating Up

In addition to providing world class real estate services, Keller Williams Realty in Carmel, Indiana has also been known to field a power house bowling team. They were the MIBOR bowling champs in 2008 and slipped to 2nd place in 2009.

The 2009-2010 season is heating up and there is a twist this year. KW was a bit frustrated with a member of the team, Mark Kuchik, for poor performance down the stretch last year and reportedly released Mark from the team. "It was a very difficult time in my life," Mark said. "The KW bowling team was my life, I struggled throughout the year, I understand completely why they let me go. I was the reason we fell to 2nd place, I take full blame!"

Not wanting to sit on the sidelines this season, Mark Kuchik formed a new bowling team, Access National Mortgage.

Is revenge setting in? As the season is entering its final 4 weeks, Access National Mortgage and Keller Williams are neck and neck. "I guarantee Access National Mortgage will finish better than Keller Williams this year" Mark said. This obviously is not sitting well with his former teammates. Adding to the tension, Access National Mortgage was in last place a few weeks ago and rumors are now swirling that they 'sand bagged' the beginning of the year.. investigations may be forth coming.

"At Keller Williams, we pride ourselves with our integrity and we certainly don't see Mark and his team trying to cheat the system," Cindy Cherf of Keller Williams said, "But you never know, I had many friends lose their net worth with Bernie Madoff too."

"For Mark to guarantee a victory, well, that is simply ludicrous," Derek Gutting of Keller Williams said. "Mark is a good bowler, but he really struggles when it comes to closing out a game or season. All I can say is, we will do what we do and look forward to seeing them at the finish!"
